You come to the foot hill of a snow covered mountain. A white lion with one red eye and one gray is there waiting for you. "You are one of the many lucky to call themselves a Snow Lion. Welcome my holy brethren," he says. "Unfortunately, I myself am not welcome beyond this point. My father is too ashamed of me for that. My name is Redhearth, and I am the son of our king. Because of my actions, because of my choices, my father has banished my mate and I to the edges of his land. You should already know this though." He waits a few moments for a response before realizing you have no idea what he is talking about. "Oh forgive me! I did not realize you are new here! Sorry, I forget that not all us Snow Lions live near the my father's land. Anyway, I live here to and I am responsible for guarding this border. I live here with my mate Icejade, as I mentioned, and a few of my warriors and their families. If you follow the path that is well walked, you will find your way to the next outpost. There you will receive a warm welcome, find rest, and a guide to continue to my father's court and the main the den site here. I would follow you, but I am not allowed to." He turns to leave, but then stops. "If you see my son, tell him I've been thinking about him. You'll know him when you see him and he is my father's heir. It would be wise to befriend him. He can be tough, but I know he has a good heart. You just have to get to know him."

Now that you have been properly introduced to the Snow Lions, please make your own post, introducing your character to either a guard of the outpost or to Red Dawn(Redhearth's son).
Here is the current roster of characters in this territory.
King- Hearthleaf.(NPC)
Description: Hearthleaf rules his kingdom with a firm hand, or rather, "paw." He is strict, yet just. He does not stand for injustice or those who go against the ways of the Snow Lions. He often wages war against the smaller prides at the foot hills of his kingdom, or at least those who do not accept his ways.
When his own son and heir started to speak of the god Fate as a kind one, he could not stand for it. It was Fate who was responsible for letting loose the "demons" to the mortal realm! That his own son would speak of this so called god in way that gave glory and praise to him, the king could not take. Things got worse when Redhearth chose a commoner as his mate. When the lioness gave birth to four cubs, as soon as they were old enough, Hearthleaf took them from their parents, and raised them himself. He stripped his son and the lioness Redhearth married of their titles and positions, and exiled the lioness. For his son, because he could never not love him, but was still ashamed of his actions, Hearthleaf made him the Lord and Watcher of the Eastern Border. He made Redhearth's son, Red Dawn, his heir, and groomed the young male to be a great king.
Queen- None since the death of Hearthleaf's queen.
Heir- Red Dawn (NPC.)
Description: Red Dawn feels no bitterness towards his grandfather for the exile of his mother. He understands what is needed to be a king, and knows Hearthleaf did what was right for the royal family and the entire kingdom. Red Dawn believes his father is stain on the legacy of all Snow Lions. If it were up to him, Redhearth would also be exiled and never spoken of again.
The prince isn't the friendliest of characters, but he is easier to approach than his grandfather. Many lions often prefer to come to him over the king, as they know he is far more likely to hear and attend to their needs. He is picky over who he is willing to befriend, and won't be easy to speak to about anything other than business, but he can be warmed up to. Flattery won't get you far though. Impress him by showing him your honor, by showing him who you really are, and he might just consider being friends with you, or perhaps more... After all, he is going to be king one day, and every king needs a queen.
Princes/Princesses-
Dawnlake (NPC)
Description: Much more friendly and accepting than her brother and grandfather, Dawnlake is a gentle and kind lioness. She often travels to the border to see her father and step mother, even if it is much to the dismay of her brother and grandfather. She doesn't care either way. Dawn, as her friend usually just call her, is determined to be a part of her father's life, no matter what others say. She loves him and hates her grandfather for what he did to Redhearth and her mother.
Snowiris (NPC)
Description: As a healer, Snowiris sees a lot, and as a Princess and member of the royal court, she knows even more. She is often seen and not heard from, but this means she has learned to be a good listener. Like her brother, she can be a little hard to warm up to, but she is willing to be friends with those who earn her trust.
Snowiris has no intention of having a family. She wants to focus only on her duties. She does not have time for finding love or raising cubs. She is a very busy lioness and would rather be a male's friend than his mate.
Lords-
Redhearth (NPC)
Description: An oddly red eyed male with one gray eye, he has been called many things, among them a "demon" is most common. He has long been used to being called such things and does not let it get to him. He is friendly and welcoming, despite all that has happened to him.
Soon after his and his sisters' birth, their mother died, leaving a distraught king to raise three cubs on his own. They were nursed by a noble lioness who had lost her own cubs, and she taught them love and kindness. It was the king who taught them that life needs one to be tough as well. When he was only a cub, trouble started for the young crown prince.
Redhearth started speaking about the god Fate, and his "great works." The words the prince spoke were ones that no cub could or should understand. Many of the healers began to wonder if Redhearth was a prophet sent by the Ancestors or even the gods. When all he would speak of was Fate, they soon started to believe him a demon sent to deceive all Snow Lions. The king mostly tried to ignore this, as Redhearth was his only son, but soon, the rumors started to get to him too. He tried to keep Redhearth from speaking of such things and to focus on his training, but Redhearth, as though he was unaware of what he was doing, could not.
Most just accepted that Redhearth was different, though strange. It wasn't until he married a commoner that anyone made a big deal of it. The nobles and the king debated over what to do, and they soon decided the only option was for Redhearth to never be king.
After his first mate's exile and being forced to live on the border, Redhearth remarried. This time, it was a noble lioness, the daughter of a Commander, and while he could never love her as much as he did his first mate, he did care for her and eventually did fall in love with her.
Hearthfeather (NPC)
The cousin of King Hearthleaf, he rules over the secondary territory/pride of the kingdom. The king only trusts him about as far as he can throw him, since Hearthfeather is theoretically a threat to his throne. However, having no brothers of his own, Hearthleaf had to make Hearthfeather the Lord over the southern part of the kingdom. At least this way, he can't make a move for the throne as easily...
(There can be more lords, and the opportunity to become one may arise...)
Ladies-
Icejade (NPC)
Description: There's not much to say about this simple lioness. She was the daughter of a highly respected Commander, and then she was more or less forced to marry the disowned son of the king, Lord Redhearth. Her father did it to ensure he would have grandchildren with a higher title than his own, and being an extended part of the royal family gave him power for sure. It was all a power play for him. He cared not for his daughter's feelings. Redhearth agreed to the marriage only to avoid his father's wrath again. He had known Icejade growing up and was friends with her. She was the niece of the lioness who nursed him when he was little, and because of that, she was one of his earliest friends. After his serious training started though he never really saw her again. For a time, Icejade actually had a crush on the prince, but that went away as she grew older and he fell in love with another lioness.
Now, she cares for him, is loyal to him, and would never betray him, but she can't help but feel like one day he will leave her to runaway and find his first mate, the lioness he loves still and will always love more than her. For now, she accepts that she will always be second best and is there to comfort him whenever he seeks her.
Liana(NPC)
Hearthfeather's mate, she is the mother of the prophet Petrus and the general of kingdom. Liana was a simple daughter of a noble who one day when she was younger met a strange lion. He was the god Magic. Through him she conceived her son Petrus. With no proof of who the father was, she tried to keep Petrus hidden, for his pelt was nearly all black with strange markings. She feared what would happen to him if anyone found out. Of course eventually someone did. Magic came and defended her and his son, but he could not stay around for long to raise Petrus, and he did not wish to marry Liana. After it was discovered that Liana's son was the offspring of a god however, she was in no short demand of suitors. When the king's cousin asked Liana's father, it sealed the lioness's fate. She was betrothed then married off to the recently appointed lord of the southern territory. She neither loves nor doesn't love Hearthfeather, in fact part of her likes him a lot, she just wishes she had a choice in the matter.
(As lords are appointed, their mates will become other ladies.)
General-
Heartheagle (NPC)
The younger half brother of Petrus, and the son of Hearthfeather, Heartheagle completely has his family to thank for his position. Heartheagle never particularly knew his brother very well, but it was Petrus who recommended him when the king asked for a new general. Heartheagle himself has no idea why his brother vouched for him to the king, but he's been grateful ever since. However, others say the only reason he's general is because of who his father is.
Commanders-
None yet. Befriend a member of the royal family, and you might just become one! Or you can go the direct path and befriend Heartheagle.
Position is open to males and lionesses, but only warrior-hunters/warriors. You don't need to be a noble to get this position.

Others-
Petrus (NPC)
A bit of a prophet, he is the son of a noble lioness named Liana, who was a healer before she died. Like Redhearth, he lives away from most of the pride, in his own den/cave, where he speaks to the gods. Many believed he was the son of a fallen god, like Wrath, but that was later proved wrong. Magic, his true father, saw how Petrus was mistreated and he grew angry. He came to the mortal realm, fully and physically, stood before the royal court and the healers and told them Petrus' true parentage. From that point on, Petrus was revered and even feared by all Snow Lions. He is now their tie to the gods, and when they need to call on the gods for help or advice, they go to him. Magic also bestowed Petrus with gifts, of which, no one is fully aware of what they are. When a lioness fears her cub may be the offspring of a demon, she may take them to him for a blessing and the cub will be purified.
(Only come to Petrus if your character is trying to pray to the gods or has a cub born with a dark pelt. He has no other purpose. He has a thread "The Prophet's Cave". Go there if your character needs his assistance. Myself, or whichever staff member is playing as him at the time will get to you. I recommend messaging one of us before doing so though, to ensure a swift reply.)
Prince Jadeleaf (NPC)
Red Dawn's missing brother. No has an idea what happened to him, but one he was there, and the next he wasn't. The royal family has searched for him, but after nearly two years of nothing, they gave up and accepted he was dead, or if he is lost, he doesn't want to be found.
